I was sitting in my room excited for the new episode of LOST thats on tonight and was thinking about why I was so excited for a fictional TV show. I realized that theres no deep meaning behind people loving a TV show, its just purely enjoyable. Why not escape for an hour and try to figure out meanings to a show thats already pre-determinded? Also, why not watch those reality shows with people who are willing to embarass themselves for 15 minutes of fame? I occassionally watch some of these reality shows because sometimes I can’t believe that people would go through those ridiculous things just to get on TV. I thought of it when we spoke about SecondLife. It serves as an escape for some people to do or think about something thats not really part of your real life.
