Blog #5: This is street art created by Julian Beever. I used one of his images for my final but I wanted to show more. I think this image as well as others of his are clear examples of manipulation and illusion. This was the best example for me because it really is hard to tell what is real and what is drawn. Are you looking at a drawing in a frame that was dug up? or is the hole part of the drawing? Like Beever’s works of art, media has a way of manipulating and adding different elements to create new perspectives and ideas. Can you tell which is fake and which is real?
