Blog #6: As I spend basically my entire day in the library I found myself wondering if there was anything new on Facebook. It’s funny how much facebook becomes a part of a college student’s, and now a high school student’s, life. I am more than willing to admit that I have given in to the well constructed form of distraction. Why not look at a Facebook friend’s pictures, even though you barely talk to them in person? All these new applications are even worse for my studies. However I believe Facebook is a good way to socialize and connect with your peers. People can easily access each other for group projects and other school related activities. I think Facebook is a genius idea and as long as some crazy Cheerleaders don’t use it as an excuse then I think it will continue to be a place of networking among peers.
